Native Issue is built around a single garment: the Aran sweater. Made in Ireland in heavyweight wool, with the traditional cable and diamond stitch that has been knitted here for generations.

A genuinely good thing, made plainly

The Aran sweater is one of the great pieces of knitwear. The cable and diamond patterns were never decoration — they were structure, knitted for warmth and durability by people who needed both. That honesty of purpose is still the best thing about it.

Our aim is simply to present it well. One garment, four colours — navy, charcoal, natural and moss — cut regular for men and relaxed for women. No seasons, no sprawling range. A sweater chosen carefully and made to last.

Made to be kept

We believe good things should outlast trends. An Aran sweater, properly made, is worn for years and often handed on — it improves with age rather than wearing out of fashion. That longevity is the point. We'd rather sell one sweater someone keeps for a decade than ten they forget.
